Alex Stamos Keynote: Fighting the Last War: How InfoSec and CISOs must adapt to serve the world

Sonoma Mission Inn

Speaker: Alex Stamos, CSO, Facebook

The position of our field in the world has changed immensely in the last several years, with what was an ancillary component of the corporate technology team is becoming a central component in insuring the long-term survival of our companies. Yet, our teams, mechanisms of action and organizational design have not changed that much. In this talk, Alex is going to relay some of his personal experiences living on the bleeding edge of this change to start a conversation on our responsibilities as CISOs, the changes we need to affect in our orgs and identifying our personal blindspots. Security has gone mainstream, and our continued inability to provide any level of confidence to our management, boards, shareholders and the public at large is untenable. Hopefully we can spark a discussion on how to recognize and address this critical need.
