Alex Stamos is the Chief Security Officer at Facebook, where he leads a team of people around the world focused on ensuring the safety of the billions of people who use Facebook and its family of services. Before joining Facebook, Alex served as the CISO of Yahoo and is widely recognized for revitalizing Yahoo’s security program with innovative technology and products. Prior to Yahoo, he was the co-founder of iSEC Partners and founder of Artemis Internet.

As chief executive officer, Khatod leads Agari in its mission to transform the way businesses and consumers work so that they can once again ‘trust’ their email. Prior to joining Agari, Khatod served as the chief operating officer at Bromium. With a career spanning more than 20 years, Khatod has also held numerous executive positions in sales, marketing, and business development roles at AppSense, IronPort (acquired by Cisco), PostX (acquired by IronPort), PacketMotion (acquired by VMWare), and others.
Jim Routh

Jim Routh

CSO, Aetna

Jim Routh is the Chief Security Officer and leads the Global Information Security function for Aetna. He is the Chairman of the FS-ISAC Products and Services Committee and former Board Member. He is a Board Member of the National Health-ISAC. He was formerly the Global Head of Application and Mobile Security for JP Morgan Chase. Prior to that he was the CISO for KPMG, DTCC and American Express and has over 20 years of experience in information technology and information security as a practitioner, management consultant and leader of technology functions and information security functions for global financial service firms. Jim is the winner of the 2009 BITS Leadership Award for outstanding leadership of the Supply Chain Working Group.

Andy Wen

Product Lead, Counter Abuse, Google

Andy Wen is the Product Lead for Counter Abuse at Google, protecting users around the Internet from advanced attacks of all kinds including over 1B GMail users from spam, phishing and malware. Prior to Google, Andy was a product lead at Capital One Labs, E*TRADE and Payoff focusing on security, data science, credit modeling and user experience.
Markus Jakobsson

Markus Jakobsson

Chief Scientist, Agari

Markus Jakobsson, Chief Scientist for Agari, has spent more than 20 years as a security researcher, scientist and entrepreneur, studying phishing, crimeware and mobile security at leading organizations. In his role at Agari, he leads the company’s security research with a focus on using advanced data science to prevent email attacks. Prior to Agari, Jakobsson spearheaded research in malware, authentication, fraud, user interfaces and security technologies for Qualcomm. In addition, Jakobsson has held key roles as Principal Scientist at PayPal, Xerox PARC and RSA Security. Jakobsson is an esteemed thought leader in the security space. He has written several books, published more than 100 peer-reviewed conference and journal articles, and holds more than 100 patents. Jakobsson is a visiting research fellow of the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG). He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, San Diego and master’s degrees from both the University of California, San Diego and Lund University in Sweden.

AJ Shipley is the Vice President, Product Management at Agari. With over 20 years of direct experience in the cyber security industry encompassing a range of roles at large, midsize, and small public and private companies, AJ brings a wealth of knowledge and subject matter expertise spanning all aspects of information security. He is a Certified Information System Security Professional and has held product management, marketing, professional services, and engineering leadership roles at Cisco Systems, NetApp, Wind River Systems, and LookingGlass Cyber Solutions prior to joining Agari.

Elvis Chan

Supervisory Special Agent (SSA), FBI

Elvis Chan is a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) assigned to FBI San Francisco. SSA Chan manages a squad responsible for investigating national security cyber matters. With over 11 years in the Bureau, he is a decorated agent who is recognized within the Intelligence Community as a cyberterrorism expert. SSA Chan was the lead agent on significant cyber investigations and managed joint counterterrorism operations with domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies. Prior to joining the Bureau, SSA Chan was a process development engineer in the semiconductor industry for 12 years. He holds two U.S. patents, presents at many technical and law enforcement symposiums, and published multiple articles in technical journals. SSA Chan graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry.

Founder & Executive Chairman, Agari

Patrick Peterson is Agari’s visionary founder and executive chairman, who has spent more than 15 years securing the email ecosystem. In this executive leadership role, he supports Agari’s growth initiatives by working closely with customers and partners to further the company’s roadmap and vision. Peterson founded Agari in 2009, when he saw a real need in the industry for a solution that would secure the email channel. Under his leadership as Chief Executive Officer, he developed the company’s industry-changing security platform that now protects many of the world’s largest enterprises from email threats. Prior to Agari, Peterson joined IronPort Systems and invented IronPort’s SenderBase, the industry’s first reputation service. After Cisco’s acquisition of IronPort, he became one of 13 Cisco Fellows. Peterson holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Don Cardinal

SVP Global Information Security, Bank of America

Don Cardinal is a member of the Cyber Threat Intelligence and Customer Protection senior leadership team at Bank of America. He oversees efforts to reduce the risk posed by automation, aggregation, email fraud and financial crimes for the company and its industry peers. Don’s resume spans more than two decades in financial services. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Information Security Manager. Currently, he leads the enterprise-wide DMARC implementation and serves as the co-chair for a Financial Services-Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) work group.

Terry Zink is a Program Manager of Antispam and Antiphish in Office 365, one of the world’s largest hosted email services. He has extensive experience in combating online abuse, and is a regular contributor to industry working groups and forums.

Marcel Becker

Marcel Becker

Director, Product Management, Oath

Marcel is driving business and product requirements for email deliverability and anti-abuse efforts for all consumer mail products (Yahoo, AOL, Verizon) under the Oath Inc. umbrella. He’s also leading the product team responsible for next gen consumer products like Alto Mail and it’s successors.

Before Oath Inc, Marcel was responsible for AOL’s Email and international products, supporting its international expansion.

John Wilson

John Wilson

Field CTO, Agari

John Wilson has been combating email­ based fraud since 2006, when he developed an authentication-based anti­phishing solution as CTO of Brandmail Solutions. John continues his mission to rid the world of email fraud at Agari, a venture ­backed startup that helped to develop the DMARC standard. Leveraging DMARC and private ­channel email data, John assisted Microsoft and the FS­ISAC with the B54 Citadel botnet takedown by providing data related to Citadel botnet infections and by acting as a declarant in the civil forfeiture action filed in US District Court. John holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT.

Mike Jones

Director of Product Management, Agari

Mike Jones is the Director of Product Management for Agari, where he is responsible for the strategy, roadmap and feature definition of the Agari platform. Mike has represented Agari in the DMARC.org working group and as a Co-Chair of the OTA Email Security Committee.  Prior to Agari, he was Technical Director of Anti-Spam Operations at AOL and served on the board of directors for Messaging Anti Abuse Working Group (MAAWG). Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona, and a Master of Science degree in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia.
