Agari has been recognized as a “Top Trusted Website” by the Online Trust Alliance (OTA) and announced as a member of its “2013 Online Trust Honor Roll.” This achievement is given to top scoring websites that “demonstrate excellence in privacy, security and data practices to enhance consumer protection” and we at Agari are proud to be included in this elite group.
To be named to the honor roll is no easy task. The Online Trust Alliance conducted comprehensive audits analyzing more than 750 domains and privacy policies, approximately 10,000 web pages and more than 500 million emails for this report. Of those reviewed, more than two-thirds received failing marks for inadequate domain and consumer protection, insecure websites and/or inadequate privacy policies or data collection practices.
This recognition from the Online Trust Alliance is indeed a great honor. The OTA’s mission of “working with industry leaders to enhance online trust” falls in line with our own goals here at Agari. Through our innovation in preventing email phishing attacks, we are not only protecting brands and their customers, but also enhancing consumer trust within those brands. We are celebrating this achievement and would like to congratulate our fellow honor roll appointees including Twitter, Netflix, American Greetings and LivingSocial as we all strive to make the Internet a safer place.
