In the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) recently announced annual Internet Crime Report, it was revealed that losses from Business Email Compromise (BEC) scams more than doubled to $1.2 billion in 2018, with these scams identified as the most financially costly incidents in the last year.
